IM-Press gives agents a discoverable WordPress workbench. MCP tools require the optional IM-Press agent layer, the WordPress MCP Adapter, a dedicated WordPress Application Password, and compatible client configuration.

  • Use documented REST routes only after checking each route’s access control, target authorization, and OpenAPI safety notes. Discovery and public-submission routes may intentionally be public.
  • Use OpenAPI discovery to understand available endpoints, schemas, and safety notes.
  • Use MCP only after the optional agent layer and adapter are enabled and configured.
  • Inspect health, content, SEO, and deploy capabilities before acting.

Most IM-Press work happens through WordPress, the plugin, REST, and OpenAPI, with optional MCP workflows when the agent layer and adapter are configured. Some work is higher privilege and should stay separate.

Hosting Manager companion concept

A proposed separate higher-privilege layer for cPanel, SSH, DNS, email accounts, PHP logs, OPcache, disk checks, permissions, and recovery. It is not included in IM-Press Core 5.2.3.

IM-Press core can identify when a task likely requires hosting access, but host-level changes should remain separate and explicit.

Is IM-Press a page builder?

Yes, but it is more than a page builder. IM-Press is a WordPress creation and management bridge for humans and AI agents.

Can IM-Press import AI-built pages?

Yes. The current import workflow supports reviewed AI-designed HTML, using editable blocks where practical and Safe Deploy when trusted advanced code needs to be preserved.

Does IM-Press replace SSH or cPanel?

No. IM-Press core is WordPress-level tooling. Hosting, cPanel, SSH, DNS, email-account, and emergency server tasks should remain separate higher-privilege workflows, handled only when requested or approved.

Can agents edit live pages?

Agents can help create, edit, optimize, and deploy content through IM-Press workflows, but risky changes should be previewed, reviewed, and approved before going live.
